Casino del Sol Resort in Tucson, Arizona - Former unified lightweight world champion Juan “Baby Bull” Diaz (42-4, 20 KOs) stopped Cesar Vazquez (28-3, 16 KOs) in eight rounds.

Diaz dominated the fight with his non-stop activity and was pounding Vazquez with hard punches. Vazquez was unable to keep up with the pace, took a lot of punishment and finally it led to the referee stopping the action in the eight.

Diaz is looking for a big fight to close the year out. He has his eye on Puerto Rican superstar Felix Verdejo and also wants he winner of the upcoming title clash between WBA champion Anthony Crolla and Jorge Linares.

Also on the card, light heavyweight contender Trevor McCumby (23-0, 18 KOs) broke down Shujaa El Amin (12-10, 6KOs) in four rounds - which was El Amin's seventh loss in a row. El Amin is usually somewhat durable going nine rounds with Joe Smith and ten rounds with Chad Dawson - with both fights takes place last year.

In the shocker of the night, 2012 Olympic gold medal winner Egor Mekhontsev (11-0-1, 7 KOs) struggled to an eight round majority draw in a light heavyweight contest with Alexander Johnson (16-4-1, 7 KOs).

Mekhontsev has been hot and cold with his performances as of late. Johnson was knocked out last year in seven rounds by 175-pound hotshot Artur Beterbiev and then this past March was beaten by 8-0 prospect Todd May over six rounds.

Junior middleweight prospect Alexander Besputin (4-0, 4 KOs) blew away Kevin Womack (7-11-3, 2 KOs) in the first round of action.
