CAGUAS, P.R. - Focus in recruiting the best talent in Puerto Rico, Miguel Cotto Promotions signed a promotional agreement with former Puerto Rico’s 123lbs national champion, Joshuanthony 'Kiko' Ortiz who accumulated a amateur record of 185-15  and undefeated featherweight prospect Edgardo 'Eggie' Laboy (10-0, 7KO’s).

“I’m very excited to be part of Miguel Cotto’s company, I had a dream to go to the Olympics that couldn’t be done but now my dream is to become a world champion and wont rest until achieve it,” said Joshuanthony Ortiz.

“I feel like I will become a pro fighter again this stage out of boxing made me stronger now I’m ready with a whole team behind me and ready to get back,” said Laboy.

“We want to have the best talent in Puerto Rico. Joshuanthony is a former national champion and Laboy is a great undefeated prospect. We will work to develop them and make them stars,” said promoter and vice president Hector Soto.  

Joshuanthony Ortiz will make his pro debut on Miguel Cotto Promotions next show on Saturday September 10 at the Auditorium in Comerio. Meanwhile Edgardo Laboy will make his come back on Saturday November 12 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico.
