O2 Arena, London - In a battle for the Commonwealth, British, WBC International heavyweight titles, Anthony Joshua (15-0, 15KOs) overcome an early scare to score a knockout of Dillian Whyte (16-1, 13KOs) in the seventh round. It was the first time Joshua went beyond three rounds.

Joshua came out throwing some big shots and Whyte was weathering the early storm, trying to jab his way in to land something big.  Joshua hurt Whyte with a big left and started shaking him up with big shots all over the ring.

At the end of the first round, Joshua caught Whyte with a shot after the bell and then Whyte went crazy, going after Joshua and throwing a ton of punches as an army of security rushed the ring to break the fighters apart.

In the second, it was Whyte who rocked Joshua and really rattled him. Whyte started catching him with some very good shots and even hurt him to the body. Whyte continued to do very well in the third round, and Joshua was starting to breath heavy. Joshua came out throwing a lot better and controlling most of the fourth round.

Joshua was timing his punches well in the fifth. Whyte was still landing a few of his own and staying in there. Whyte was breathing very heavy as the round closed out. Joshua controlled the first two minutes of the sixth until Whyte came back in the final minute with a several shots of his own.

Whyte was hurt very bad at the start of the seventh. Joshua jumped on him and was throwing a lot of punches to finally drop Whyte down hard against the ropes. The referee waved it off without issuing a count.
