Joshua Franco and Andrew Moloney are officially set to resume their rivalry Saturday night.

The 115-pound boxers both made weight Friday afternoon for a main event ESPN will televise from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. San Antonio’s Franco came in at 114.2 pounds for a defense of his WBA world super flyweight title, slightly less than Australia’s Moloney (114.8 pounds).

They’ll fight again for the secondary WBA belt Franco retained in controversial fashion November 14 at MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.

Franco (17-2-1, 8 KOs, 1 NC) couldn’t continue in the second round of their scheduled 12-round rematch due to severe swelling around his right eye. Moloney (21-1, 14 KOs, 1 NC) contended that damage was initiated by one of his punches in the first round, but referee Russell Mora ruled that the swelling started after an accidental clash of heads in the first round.

An absurdly long replay review at ringside by the Nevada State Athletic Commission confirmed Mora’s determination, which rendered their fight a no-contest. Moloney’s team filed a protest, but the decision was upheld, and their third fight will take place exactly nine months later.

Franco defeated Moloney in their closely contested first bout by unanimous decision. He took the WBA’s world super flyweight title from Moloney by winning that entertaining 12-rounder last June 23 at MGM Grand Conference Center.
