Puerto Rico's Jose “Sniper” Pedraza, 32-years-old, will wait for his promoter, Top Rank, to present him with options for his next ring appearance.

Earlier this month, Pedraza dispatched then-undefeated Julian “Hammer Hands” Rodriguez (21-1 and 14 KO's) by TKO in the eighth round.

With the one-sided victory he sent a powerful message to all of the top players in the junior welterweight division.

But Pedraza, who now would love to fight twice in 2021, has embraced the idea of a rematch against Mexico's Jose “Cho” Zepeda (34-2 and 26 KOs).

“The message is clear. I am still among the elite. I can fight for a world title now. I want to be given that opportunity. I know there are a lot of elite fighters in (the) 140-pound division. There is a lot of (competition), but I am there. I want to become champion for the third time,” Pedraza told Giovanny Vega.

Zepeda looked less than impressive in his most recent ring appearance, which was a win over late replacement Hank Lundy.

Pedaza made his junior welterweight debut against him in 2019 in Las Vegas - and lost a unanimous decision.

“I would love a rematch against Zepeda because when I moved up to 140 (pounds) I had my first loss in this division to him. It is something that could be made. I would like them to put us in title fights separately, we become champions and then we fight to unify," Pedraza said.

Pedraz has now won three fights in a row since that defeat, with dominant wins over Mikkel LesPierre and Javier Molina, and the stoppage of Rodriguez.
