Jose Argumedo won a 10 round unanimous decision over Moises Calleros Saturday night at the Domo del Parque San Rafael in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

It was a crossroads bout between two fighters who were fighting as junior flyweights after fighting as strawweights for most of their careers. The fight was fought in sports, where one round featured completive exchanges between the two, but the action was lackluster the following round.

Argumedo (22-4-1, 13 knockouts), who is a former IBF strawweight titleholder, was the sharper fighter throughout most of the fight, connecting repeatedly with combinations to the head and body of Calleros.

Scores were 97-91, 97-91, and 99-90 for Argumedo, who resides in nearby Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico.

Calleros, who was stopped by WBO strawweight titleholder Ryuya Yamanaka in his previous fight on Mar. 18, drops to 28-9-1, 16 KOs. Calleros resides in the northern Mexican city of Monterrey.

Whether Argumedo wants to remain at 108 pounds or drop down to strawweight remain to be seen. RING ranks Argumedo at number six as a strawweight.

In an eight-round featherweight bout, Magaly Rodriguez (18-5-2, 9 KOs) and Yareli Larios (13-1-1, 3 KOs) fought to a split decision draw.

One judge scored the bout 77-75 for Rodriguez, the second judge had Larios up 78-74, and the third judge scored the bout 76-76. Larios is a 20-year-old from Guadalajara, who made her pro debut in 2014 at the age of 16.

Junior lightweight Rafael Espinoza knocked out Diego Andrade (7-2-1, 1 KO) in round five to improve to 14-0, 12 KOs.
