BoxingScene.com/NotiFight.com was informed by promoter Hector Garcia of HG Boxing that a deal was reached for Juan Carlos Salgado (23-1, 16KOs) to face Jorge Solis (40-3-2, 29KOs) in a Mexican crossroads battle of former champions. The fight will take place on July 23 in Guadalajara, Mexico. The vacant interim-WBA super featherweight championship will be at stake. Solis returns from a one-sided beating at the hands of Yuriorkis Gamboa. Salgado is best known for his one round destruction of Jorge Linares.
