Former world super featherweight champion Jorge Rodrigo "Hyena" Barrios returns to boxing after almost a year on October 1 to face Humberto Martinez of Colombia at Regatas Corrientes, in 10-round fight at lightweight.

On the same evening, which will air on HBO Plus and Telefutura throughout Latin America and the U.S., the welterweight champion of Argentina, the Hector "Tiger" Saldivia will face the Jorge "Chino" Miranda in a title fight.

Barrios, whose last appearance was in November of last year in Buenos Aires against Mexican Michael Lozada, returns to the ring after a tumultuous 2010. He plans to successfully overcome his opponent, fight once more in Argentina and then head back to America for a possible world title opportunity.

Humberto Martinez, a native of Monteria, is 27 and has a good record of 19 wins (14 KOs), 4 losses and one draw. He won his last four fights.
