YouTube Theater, Inglewood - In a bantamweight fight, former world champion Kal Yafai (27-2, 18 KOs) may have hit the end of the road when he was blown out in a single round by Jonathan Rodriguez (17-1-1, 7 KOs).

In the very first round, Rodriguez landed a big right that dropped Yafai, The British boxer beat the count and then Rodriguez jumped all over him with punches. Yafai was caught with a hook during an exchange and was dropped for a second time. Yafai once again beat the count, with Rodriguez chasing after him with big hooks. Rodriguez rocked him badly again with several punches and started to unload when the referee jumped in to wave off the fight. 

Yafai has only fought twice since suffering a stoppage loss to Roman Gonzalez in 2020. In his last bout, Yafai was dropped and edged out a close win over Gerald Paclar.

Also on the card, super featherweight Marc Castro (11-0, 8 KOs) battered and stopped Gonzalo Fuenzalida (12-3, 3 KOs) in seven rounds of action. 

Castro just overwhelmed Fuenzalida in numerous rounds with his punch output. The end came in the seventh as Castro was all over Fuenzalida with punches in bunches and the referee stepped in to wave off teh fight.

Super featherweight prospect Jalan Walker (12-0-1, 10 KOs) blew away Jorge Villegas (14-2) in two rounds of actiom. Walker was hurting Villegas during the second, which prompted the referee's intervention.

Lightweight prospect Criztec Bazaldua (3-0, 1 KO) picked up the first stoppage win of his young career when he broke down and put away Pedro Angel Cruz (3-4) in the fourth and final round.
