Junior middleweight prospect Jonathan Gonzalez (15-0, 13KOs) feels ready for his upcoming fight against veteran Sergei Dzinziruk (37-1, 23KOs) on the 25th of August in Washington. The fight will be televised by HBO. The 22-year-old fighter from Puerto Rico returns from a Februayr decision win against Billy Lyell. Dzinziruk, a former WBO champion, has not fought since March 2011 when he was defeated for the first time by Argentina's Sergio 'La Maravilla' Martinez.

"Everybody has their opinion [on whether I'm ready]. [Dzinziruk] is very experienced and a veteran. But I'm also a veteran and remember that I've a lot of fights at the amateur level. With Lyell I did not train at 100%. It was the fight where I was the least prepared. I had some personal problems, but eventually I figured him out easily and was well ahead on the cards. Against Dzinziruk I will be at 100%. I'm stronger than him and he'll feel my hands, speed and power," Gonzalez told Carlos Narvaez.
