John Bauza’s boxing ability was too much for Larry Fryers on Tuesday night in Las Vegas.

The 22-year-old Bauza improved to 14-0 by winning the second fight ESPN aired as part of the Alex Saucedo-Sonny Fredrickson undercard from MGM Grand Conference Center. The 29-year-old Fryers fell to 11-3.

Bauza landed numerous straight lefts in the sixth, seventh and eighth rounds, and continued to make Fryers miss in those three rounds.

Fryers backed Bauza into the ropes early in the fifth round, but Bauza established some distance and continued to out-box his aggressive opponent. Bauza repeatedly hit Fryers with left hands in the first minute of the fourth round.

A straight left by Bauza snapped back Fryers’ head about 15 seconds into the third round. Several seconds later, Bauza caught Fryers with a right hook.
