Joel Diaz Jr., now fighting as a junior welterweight, made quick work of Abraham Gomez, winning by second-round technical knockout. The end came halfway through the round, when Gomez went down following a right hand that landed on the ear. He beat the count, but the referee waved the fight off at the 1:45 mark. Diaz, 23, of Palmdale, California, is now 21-0 with 17 KOs. Csala, 38, of Hungary, is now 9-5 with 7 KOs.

Butler knocked Hoffman down in the opening round and continued to batter him for the remainder of the first. Hoffman steadied himself and gave Butler some good resistance, only for Butler to show his class, build a lead and then score another knockdown shortly before the final round ended. He ran across the ring to try to finish the fight but couldn’t make it to Hoffman before the bell rang.

The scores were 79-71 from one judge and 78-72 from the other two.
