Undefeated featherweight prospect Joel Brunker (25-0, 14 KOs) is getting ready for his ring next ring appearance which is going to take place on May 17th in Richmond, Australia. The 27-year old Australian will take on Maxsaisai Sithsaithong (12-2, 3 KOs) from Thailand, who lost his last two fights. Brunker is convinced that beating the Thai will be another step to secure a title bout in next several months.

"I’m training hard getting ready for my hometown fight on May 17. This bout will be over 10 rounds against a tough guy from Thailand. I’m hoping to get as many rounds as I can out of the fight to get myself prepared for a world title shot hopefully later this year. About a year ago I was offered a fight against Chris John for the WBA world title. I signed the contract but unfortunately his team pulled out. I haven't been offered a shot at Garcia yet but it is only a matter of time before I get a shot at Garcia or one of the other champions in the division,” Brunker said.
