EBU heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel (22-2 or 19-0 take your pick) have a new official challenger after Otto Wallin´s withdrawal and it´s no other than Joe "Juggernaut" Joyce (8-0) but don´t look for that fight to happen until the fall if at all.

Kabayel will first make another voluntary in May or June.

The highly capable Kabayel goes a bit under the radar but is ranked # 8 by the WBC, # 3 IBF and # 9 WBO.

Frenchman Yazid Amghar (22-0) and Danish fighter Enock Poulsen (10-0) are now co-challengers for the vacant EU title.

The EBU have set April 4 as the deadline for purse bids or agreements. Both men holds wins over the always tough gatekeeper Renald "Le Lion" Garrido and that shows that both can fight. The title became vacant when Timo Schwarzkopf relinquished it.

Danish super middleweight Patrick Nielsen (29-3) has an offer - again - from Danish Fight Night promotions about fighting Jeppe Morell (9-2) in what would be a very interesting all Danish all southpaw clash.

Nielsen is currently a freelancer after the retirement of Peder Forsman and was previously with Team Sauerland.

Former German heavyweight champ Christian Honhold promotes a big mixed boxing / MMA show at the Hansehalle in Luebeck on April 13. Topping the boxing part of the show is heavyweight Mohammed Soltby (15-1) who squares off against Toni Thes (14-7) with the vacant IBF Baltic at stake. The undercard features the Kraft brothers, James and Toni, both 14-0-1.
