SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO- After more than 21 hours of flying, the WBO's #1 ranked boxer at 115 pounds, Puerto Rican Jeyvier Cintrón, arrived this morning in Japan to complete his preparation en route to his fight against Japanese star Kazuto Ioka, who holds the WBO championship at 115 pounds.

The fight will take place on December 31 at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.

The two-time Olympic Cintrón (11-0 1ND, 5 KOs) came to Japan with his trainer Iván "Iron Boy" Calderón, also trainer Alfonso "Ury" Ramos, his father and former boxer Javier "Perrito" Cintrón, and Peter Rivera, Vice-President of PR Best Boxing Promotions.

The challenger has a very tough task in Ioka (24-2, 14 KOs), who has been world champion in four divisions (105, 108, 112 and 115 pounds) and won the WBO belt at 115 pounds when he won by 10-round TKO over Filipino Aston Palicte in June when they faced off for the vacant title.
