Caguas, PR - With a huge demonstration before his people from Caguas, the former WBA featherweight world champion, Jesus Rojas (27-3-2, 20KO's), returned to the winning route by gaining a knockout victory in three rounds over game Mexican contender Luis Ronaldo "Loco" Castillo (19-3, 15KO's).

The fight headlined the card "Noche de Campeones DIRECTV" held at the Roger Mendoza Coliseum.

Rojas implanted his style from the first bell, connecting with powerful right hooks to the head of his opponent. Castillo visited the canvas in the second round due to a body shot.

In the third round, the Puerto Rican continued his fierce attack, sending his rival back to the canvas. A devastating combination of right and left hands to the face, served to score a knockdown for the third time on Castillo, which forced the referee to stop the fight.

"As I said before, I like to fight with big men, because I can work them to the body, I can work them upstairs and that's what I did tonight," said Rojas.

"The Mexican came well prepared, but I definitely come to fight with my family, my people from Caguas, my neighborhood Canaboncito... I was very motivated. Now I hope that before the end of the year we can have another opportunity for the world championship, either the rematch with Xu Can, to demonstrate and make it clear that that night I was the one who won the fight, or go in search of the world title in a new division".
