Adrien Broner (33-3-1) and Jessie Vargas (28-2-1) battled to a majority draw in a spirited match up Saturday night in Brooklyn.  The highly entertaining bout topped a Showtime televised triple header.  The final tallies were 115-113 for Broner and 114-114 twice.

After the fight both men thought that they had done enough to get the victory with Broner complaining to Showtime's Jim Gray, saying that there were, "hella Mexicans" at the Barclays Center and that it was pro Vargas crowd. The Cincinnati, Ohio native then called for home field advantage in a potential rematch.

Vargas found Broner's comments to be comical, especially given the proximity of Cincinnati to Brooklyn in comparison to Vargas' hometown of Las Vegas that is about 3,000 miles away from the New York borough.

The 28-year-old Vargas also is very interested in facing Broner again but not in his hometown and said that they can do the rematch on neutral grounds again.

"Let's do it again! I think it was a very entertaining fight that the fans enjoyed.  I have no plans on fighting in Cincinnati. We have several other cities where the fight can take place.  Texas has great venues," Vargas told BoxingScene.com.

For Broner it was his first fight since losing a twelve round unanimous decision to Mikey Garcia last year at the same venue. He was initially scheduled to fight Omar Figueroa last weekend, but the former champ withdrew with a training related injury - and then Vargas stepped in on late notice.

And for Vargas it was his second fight back since losing a twelve round decision, and his WBO welterweight title, to Manny Pacquiao in November of 2016. Vargas saw action last December when he won a unanimous decision over Aaron Herrera.
