New York - Jermell Charlo looks to continue his run of victories at the 154 pound division this weekend when he takes on highly regarded prospect Erickson Lubin (29-0, 14 KO’s).

Although Lubin is a slight underdog, he is untested. Charlo feels tested or not, he will do his business come Saturday night inside Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

“You just train and you fight,” Charlo told BoxingScene.com. “The bullsh*t that comes with it I don’t care about. I have nothing to do with him not having enough fights. I have 29 fights and fought some great fighters that could have been world champions.”

The fight will be televised on Showtime and is the co-featureto the main event between Erislandy Lara and Terrell Gausha. The Houston fighter looks to defend his WBC super welterweight title and keep another possible world champion from becoming one.

“I was the one that stopped good fighters from becoming a world champions, that’s why they aren’t world champions,” stated Charlo. “Therefore this guy hasn’t faced guys I faced and faced adversity. I have. I don’t know who he’s fought. We fought a guy he knocked out but we fought him at 16. We not worried about what he got, we worried about we bring.”

Though he can keep winning, the 154 pound champion feels like him and his brother Jermall Charlo will never get the respect they truly deserve.

“They could keep on sleeping us,” said Charlo of him and his twin brother. “They sleeping on the Charlos when we the ones that are constantly seeking fights and climbing through those ropes. Respect to any boxer that getting into the ring, but if you don’t respect us, we don’t need your respect.”

There are a plethora of good 154 pound fighters in this Saturday’s card and Charlo sees a possibility of many fights minus one with Erislandy Lara (24-2-2, 14 KO’s) for now.

“We’ll talk about that when it presents itself, he’s a stablemate of my brother,” explained Charlo. “Not saying that’s not an option but right that’s not someone we want with all the other champions out there.”

Lara and Charlo’s twin brother, Jermall, share the same trainer in Ronnie Shields. Charlo’s plan is to unify and likely move up

“Once we annihilate them, we'll continue to unify the divisions or move up. There’s other guys like (Jarrett) Hurd, (Austin) Trout and Miguel Cotto. Cotto’s fighting [Sadam] Ali which is BS but I’m not going to get into it because you are going to misconstrue my words anyway. That’s why I am quiet and let my opponents talk and I get in the ring and do my work,” Charlo said.
