Jermall Charlo vows to give southpaw Willie Monroe a face full of his extended left arm and fist in pursuit of his first WBC interim middleweight title defense and fourth straight knockout on December 22 at Barclays Center in Brookyn, New York (FOX at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.)

The 28-year-old Charlo (27-0, 21 KOs) has stopped 19 of his last 21 opponents entering his clash with Monroe (23-3, 6 KOs), a 31-year-old two-time title challenger facing “The Hit Man” on the same card where Charlo’s twin, Jermell (31-0, 15 KOs), defend his WBC junior middleweight crown against repeat title challenger Tony Harrison (27-2, 21 KOs).

Jermall Charlo’s piston jab “is money” when it hits the mark, according Ronnie Shields, who trains him at The Houston Texas-based Plex Gym.

It is Charlo’s aim to repeatedly put his money where Monroe’s mouth is toward scoring his sixth knockout in seven fights.

“I’m going to go jab crazy,” said Charlo, the older sibling by a minute. “I’m letting you know, right now. I’m going to go jab crazy.”

Charlo’s comments were made during last Saturday night’s PBC Countdown: Jermall Charlo versus Willie Monroe Jr. documentary, which aired on FOX before a separate one directly after entitled PBC Countdown: Jermell Charlo versus Tony Harrison.

“Jermall has power in both hands,” said Shields to BoxingScene.com of Charlo, who has stopped 19 of his last 21 opponents. “But he has been hurting and dropping guys with his jab for his entire career.”

Charlo’s jab caused the second of three knockdowns during his IBF 154-pound championship victory that dethroned Cornelius Bundrage by third-round TKO on September 12, 2015, exactly seven years to the day from his pro debut.

“The Hit Man’s” signature blow also caused the first of three knockdowns during each of his fourth- and fifth-round stoppages of Wilky Campfort (November 2015) and previously unbeaten Julian Williams (December 2016) for Charlo.

And whether or not Charlo’s on his own bicycle against Monroe, he has promised that several children will be on theirs after his anticipated victory over “El Mongoose,” whose face he vows will display the results of his jab’s repeated impact by fight’s end.

“I’ve spoken to a couple of sponsors,” said Charlo, during the documentary. “I’m going to give out 10 bikes per jab landed. I’m going to make it happen.”
