Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey - In a few weeks Jermall Charlo (21-0, 16 KO’s) will get a crack at his first world title when he takes on IBF super welterweight champion Cornelius ‘K9” Bundrage on September 12th from Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut. Charlo has waited long enough and wants to put on a show.

The fight will be televised as part of a Premier Boxing Champions on NBC doubleheader.

“I’m the in the number one spot,” Charlo told BoxingScene.com. “I was in the number one spot when I beat Michael Finney. I am K9’s mandatory which he waited all the way past his mandatory date. The fight is set. I’m ready to put on a show on PBC on NBC. I’m ready to fight in the broad daylight where everyone in the world can see me.”

Charlo says his advisor/manager Al Haymon gets a bad rap but always delivers what his clients want.

“I’m going to be a titlist and the new,” stated Charlo. “The man does he job. Everyone says Al Haymon is bad but I wanted a title shot and he got me one. After I win the title I’ll be ready for what’s next, anything that’s big for the Charlo’s”

Charlo wants to go on a run but is modest as to who he wants to get in the ring with.

“I don’t give out many names. All those guys sound, they sound like lunch to me. I want the IBF so I’m going to get it.”
