Former champion Jermain Taylor (33-4-1, 20KOs), who is currently training for a ring return, appeared in Pulaski County Circuit Court in Arkansas and pled guilty to charges which stem from three separate incidents. Taylor will be sentenced in April.

Taylor has been out of the ring since last October, when he captured the IBF world title from Sam Soliman. He was eventually stripped in connection to his mounting legal troubles.

In the first case, Taylor is accused of shooting his cousin outside Taylor's Arkansas residence last August. The second case stems from Taylor opening fire and threatening a family after a Martin Luther King Jr. parade in Little Rock, Arkansas in January. And the third case is related to Taylor beating up a patient at his rehabilitation center.

As party of the plea deal, prosecutors reduced charges to second degree battery in the incident where Taylor is accused of shooting his cousin. They removed several charges from the MLK parade incident and he was given a battery charge in the third incident.

The judge will allow Taylor to continue his training camp in Florida under supervision.
