Jeremy Hill is not wasting any time getting back in the ring.

The lightweight prospect hopes to rebound from the first loss of his career tonight when he squares off against gatekeeper Deivi Julio Bassa. The 10-round bout will take place at the Crown Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and will stream live on BXNG ($14.99, 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT).

Hill (14-1, 9 knockouts), who resides in New Orleans, Louisiana, last fought on March 10, losing by unanimous decision to Steven Ortiz in a clash of unbeaten fighters.

The 28-year-old immediately went back to the gym to improve his skill-set, drawing praise from trainer Toby Wattigney.

“Jeremy has been working very hard the past couple of months,” said Wattigney. “We had a good camp, and he’s been focused and sharp. I’m excited to have Jeremy back in (the ring) so that he can showcase what we’ve been working on. Jeremy is a special fighter, a true boxer-puncher, and I can’t wait for him to show that on Saturday.”

Manager Adam Glenn agrees.

"We're happy to get Jeremy back in the ring and get him back on track,” Glenn told Boxingscene Thursday evening. “He's been looking great in camp and he’s in great shape for the fight this Saturday. Jeremy is fighting a veteran with a good record but we expect Jeremy to outbox him, dominate the action and break him down.

“Despite a setback in his last fight, Jeremy is an amazing talent with big star potential. I’m hoping everyone tunes in to BXNG see him, because Jeremy always puts on a show. After Jeremy wins this fight, we’re excited to get him right back into some bigger fights, against the other top prospects in the division."

Hill’s last victory took place on November 20, stopping Travis Castellon in round 3 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Julio (22-9, 14 KOs), who resides in Monteria, Colombia, knocked out Jader Esquivia in round 3 of his last bout on March 21. The fight took place 18 months after losing by unanimous decision to unbeaten Edwin Valentin.

The 40-year-old Julio has lost to the likes of Xavier Martinez, Lamont Roach, Jonathan Oquendo, and Ronny Rios.

Also on the Christy Martin Promotions card is a clash of unbeaten lightweights Emonte Hayes (2-0, 2 KOs) of Palm Coast, Florida and West Virginia’s Anthony Savilla (1-0).

Unbeaten featherweight Victorino Gonzalez (4-0, 2 KOs) of nearby Pawleys Island will square off against Nicaragua’s Julio Buitrago (13-27, 3 KOs) in a six-round bout.
