James Dickens has taken to social media in an attempt to sort out his next fight.

The IBO featherweight champion has been out of the ring since winning the title back in October last year.

Dickens, who is a former British champion at the weight and has also previously challenged for the IBF crown, outpointed Lerato Dlamini in his home city of Liverpool.

‘Jazza’, who holds a win over former WBA champion Leigh Wood, won the fight against South Africa’s Dlamini on all three judges’ scorecards, atop a Probellum-promoted card that featured another win for his fellow Scouser Peter McGrail.

The 31-year-old (32-4, 12 KOs) has had no date mooted for the first defence of his bauble –– but he mentioned Josh Warrington as a potential future foe on social media.

“Both myself and [Josh Warrington are] sitting on the side waiting [for a date],” the Pete Taylor-trained 31-year-old tweeted to Matchroom Boxing’s official account. “I’ve got the [IBO title] and I’m happy to make this [fight], respectfully.”

Warrington, 32, from Leeds, has been out of action since December when he succumbed his IBF crown to Mexican mandatory challenger Luis Alberto Lopez at the First Direct Arena in Yorkshire, exclusively live on DAZN.

The two-time king has a ledger of 31-2-1 with eight quick finishes and a fight with Dickens would make sense, with the aforementioned Wood meeting Mauricio Lara in a contracted rematch on May 27 at Manchester’s AO Arena and Lopez travelling to Belfast in Northern Ireland on the same night to defend the red, white and gold title against Michael Conlan.

Dickens, who is managed by former WBC cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew, then addressed Eddie Hearn, the head honcho of Matchroom, imploring him to “contact my manager if interested”.
