The November 25th HBO televised card, featuring a light heavyweight main event between Sergey Kovalev and Vyacheslav Shabranskyy, now looks like it will become a tripleheader.

The card will take place at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York.

As previously reported by BoxingScene.com, light heavyweight contender Sullivan Barrera will also appear on the card against an opponent to be determined.

BoxingScene.com has also been advised that a crossroads super featherweight contest between former champion Jason Sosa (20-2-4) and Robinson Castellanos (24-13) will also be broadcast by HBO.

Sosa had a big 2016, by traveling to China to score a huge upset in knocking out the undefeated champion Javier Fortuna to win the WBA "regular" 130 pound title and then successfully defended it in Monaco with an unanimous decision victory over Stephen Smith later in the year. He lost his last bout, when he was dominated and stopped by two-division champion Vasyl Lomachenko in April.

Castellanos started off 2017 with a major upset victory of his own, when he stopped former Olympic gold medalist Yuriorkis Gamboa. But then the rugged Mexican fighter lost a technical decision against WBA super featherweight champion Jezreel Corrales in July, in a bout that saw both men hit the canvas.
