Andy Lee has confirmed he will train Jason Quigley for his next fight.

Quigley, who has a promotional deal with Golden Boy, lost his last outing to Tureano Johnson when he was defending his NABF middleweight title at Fantasy Springs in Indio, California.

Former WBO middleweight champion of the world Lee, who is also looking after southpaw Paddy Donovan –– who will debut at the Ulster Hall in Belfast on October 11, exclusively live on iFL TV and ESPN+, before returning on November 16 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland –– revealed the World Championship silver medal winner will return to the ring on December 6 in California.

It is now clear that the former Manny Robles-trained fight has left Dominic Ingle.

Further details regarding the ring return of Quigley will be revealed in due course

IN OTHER NEWS: Jack Bateson has been ruled out of his next fight.

The Leeds super-bantamweight had been set to challenge Michael Ramabeletsa for the English title next weekend.

Bateson was scheduled to meet Ramabeletsa on October 12 at the First Direct Arena in his home city, exclusively live on BT Sport in the UK.

The fight was due to form part of the supporting cast to Josh Warrington’s IBF world featherweight title defence against Sofiane Takoucht, exclusively live on BT Sport in the UK, after picking up a hand injury and losing use of one hand.

“I set a goal to finish the year with my first title and even had plans of fighting again in November,” said ex-Team GB man Bateson, who will have an operation to repair the damage. “It’s not to be. Hopefully Michael –– who I’m sure has prepared as hard as I have [over the course of] these past few months –– and I can get it on again down the line.”

The undercard to Warrington vs. Takoucht is still a solid one, with action for Zelfa Barrett as he defends his Commonwealth super-featherweight title for the first time against former British title challenger Jordan McCorry from Scotland and Lyndon Arthur, who faces big-hitting Ghanaian Emmanuel Anim for the vacant Commonwealth bauble at light-heavyweight.

Former British middleweight title challenger Mark Heffron is back, while debutant George Davey is joined by Troy Williamson, Shakiel Thompson, Jack Daniel, Reece Mould and Shabaz Masoud, with John Joyce, Callum Simpson and Evaldas Petrauskas completing the card.
