Unbeaten middleweight Jason Quigley has fought numerous times on non-televised bouts on Golden Boy Promotions cards.

Unless boxing fans tune in to streams on their laptop or phone to watch Quigley in action, casual fans of the sport wonder who is this fighter that is nicknamed, 'El Animal?'

With the potential, skill-set, and power he has exhibited as a pro, Quigley could leave a lasting impression tonight on those fans and the rest of the boxing world.

Quigley will face Glen Tapia tonight at the Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino in Indio, California. The bout will headline a three-bout telecast, which will be televised live on ESPN2, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT.

Tonight's broadcast is the first of 42 broadcasts in a multi-year agreement between the network and the promotional company owned by Oscar De La Hoya.

While promoting some of the top fighters in boxing today, including Mexican star Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, De La Hoya and the company have focused on developing their young talent on 'LA Fight Club' cards, which are streamed on RingTV.com and the Spanish-language Estrella TV network.

Quigley (12-0, 10 KOs) is one of those young fighters. The Irish-born fighter, who resides in the Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills, had built his fan-base amongst Southern California boxing fans.

Tonight will be a coming-out party of sorts. The lights will be brighter, so to speak, and Tapia will present, on paper, as the biggest challenge of Quigley's young career, thus far.

"Fighting on ESPN means everything to me," Quigley told Boxingscene.com after Wednesday's weigh-in. "It's such a fantastic platform to showcase who Jason Quigley is. I'm delighted to have the opportunity."

Quigley, who is trained by Manuel 'Manny' Robles' will face a fighter in Tapia who is on the downside of his career. Tapia (23-3, 15 KOs) believes he is still a relevant name in the sport, but he has lost his last two bouts, both by knockout.

Despite Tapia's struggles of late, Quigley is expecting the best of Glen Tapia.

"If Tapia wants a war, he's going to get one."

De La Hoya and those at Golden Boy Promotions are very high on Quigley. With his fan-friendly style and subtle demeanor, they believe Quigley could become a world title contender by the end of this year or early next year, despite competing in a very deep middleweight division.

Quigley believes a breakout performance tonight could open more opportunities down the road.

"I've trained hard for this fight. It's my time to shine and that's what I intend to do tomorrow."

"I'm so ready for this giant step in my career."
