The IBF welterweight world champion, Jan Zaveck (30-1, 17 KOs), is preparing the third defense of his title on February 18 at Sportpark Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia, against Paul Delgado (25-9-1, 4 KO) of America. Zaveck hopes that the fight against the American might be his ticket to a career in the United States. Zaveck wants to face the big names in the welterweight division. He is taking the fight with Delgado very seriously.

"The encounter with Delgado will make the fans across the ocean hear my name, so this battle is very important to me. If I want to think about fights with boxers such as [Floyd] Mayweather or [Shane] Mosley, I have to show my class in the next battle," said Zaveck, who in his last battle he defeated Rafal Jackiewicz on points.
