James Moore will make a long overdue return to Ireland in one of the greatest domestic title fights in years after securing a shot at Irish light middleweight champion Neil Sinclair. However, the New York based 2001 World Amateur Championship Bronze medalist claims there will be nothing long about the mouthwatering clash and is predicting a stoppage. Moore (17-2) versus Belfast native Sinclair (34-7), will headline a City West hosted Tommy Egan Promotions event in April 2010.

Egan plans to reinvigorate and make prestigious once more the Irish Title via a series of shows in 2010 and beyond, and Moore believes the charismatic promoter couldn’t have started that campaign with a more exciting Irish Title bout.

The Arklow native, whose only appearance as pro in Ireland came back in 2006, is predicting an all action heavy hitting head to head that will result in one of the two former amateur stars consulting the canvas.

“Sinky and myself is a quality Irish title fight. I said earlier in the year, when the fight was been discussed for Roggie’s show, we are both big punchers and it would be a shoot out between two bangers. I said it wouldn’t go the distance and one of us would be stopped and I still believe that. I have the up-most respect for Sinky and I would have to be at my best to beat him,” Moore explained before Egan addressed the fight and his plans to make fights for the fans not fights to build boxers records in 2010.

“Tommy Egan Promotions is planning to put on quality Irish title fights in the beautiful venue that is City West in 2010. This fight sets an exciting precedent that we will follow. James Moore and Neil Sinclair is a fight that has everything. You have to exciting former amateur stars, one of which is returning to Ireland after a successful stint in the States, the other on the verge of a European title shot. Both will come to fight. This is one for the fans and the type of fight we will have at the top of all our future bills. There will also be an exciting under card which we will reveal latter,” Egan explained.
