James Branch has had his next fight confirmed.

The former Repton ABC star, 22, inked professional terms with Frank Warren in February and has now revealed the date in which he will fight under the lights as a prizefighter for the second time.

Branch, who represented Team GB on several occasions, winning seven national titles, made his bow in the paid ranks on June 23 at London’s O2 Arena, as part of the undercard to Martin Murray’s WBC Silver middleweight win over outgoing champion Roberto Garcia.

And the Hainault southpaw, campaigning at light-heavyweight, has revealed the date that he will get between the ropes again.

He will be back in action in a couple of months’ time, exclusively live on BT Sport, at the Morningside Arena in Leicester.

The bill, on October 6, will feature a title fight for Nicola Adams.

The double Olympic champion will face an opponent to be confirmed across the championship distance for a title to be determined, while there is a tasty WBO world super-lightweight title eliminator contest between Jack Catterall and Ohara Davies, the WBO Inter-Continental and WBC International champions, who will both put their belts on the line.

English heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois faces a step-up against America’s Kevin Johnson on the same card as Sam Bowen fights for the first time under the promotional banner of Queensberry Promotions in a defence of his British super-featherweight title and Lyon Woodstock’s clash against Archie Sharp in a defence of his WBO European super-featherweight crown.

Further additions to the card, which will also feature Mark Heffron and Ryan Hatton, will be revealed in due course.

Meanwhile, Scott Fitzgerald has been confirmed as an addition to the Amir Khan vs. Samuel Vargas undercard.

Khan takes on Vargas on September 8 at the Arena Birmingham, exclusively live on Sky Sports, as he looks to build towards a pre-Christmas showdown with former IBF world welterweight champion Kell Brook.
