One of women’s boxing’s best-kept secrets finally has a promoter and a big fight.

Jake Paul announced Wednesday that Shadasia Green, one of the sport’s most powerful punchers among women, has signed a multi-fight contract with his company, MVP Promotions. Green (11-0, 10 KOs) also has been added to the Amanda Serrano-Erika Cruz undercard February 4 at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York.

A deal has been struck for the 33-year-old Green, of Paterson, New Jersey, to face Sweden’s Elin Cederroos in a 10-round, 168-pound championship elimination match a week from Saturday night. The winner between Green and Cederroos (8-1, 4 KOs) will become the WBC’s mandatory challenger for one of the four titles held by fully unified super middleweight champion Franchon Crews (8-1, 2 KOs).

Green is the WBC’s number one contender for one of Crews’ four belts. Cederroos is ranked third by the WBC.

Baltimore’s Crews, who has lost only to Claressa Shields, became the fully unified 168-pound champion by beating the 38-year-old Cederroos in Cederroos’ last fight.

Crews out-pointed Cederroos by scores of 99-91, 99-91 and 97-93 in their 10-rounder on the Katie Taylor-Serrano undercard April 30 at Madison Square Garden. The 35-year-old Crews retained her WBC and WBO belts and captured the IBF and WBA championships from Cederroos.

DAZN will stream the Green-Cederroos contest as part of the Serrano-Cruz card. Brooklyn’s Serrano (43-2-1, 30 KOs), who also is promoted by Paul’s company, and Mexico’s Cruz (15-1, 3 KOs) will fight for Serrano’s IBF, IBO, WBC and WBO featherweight titles and Cruz’s WBA belt in their 10-round, 126-pound championship unification match.

Signing with a promoter, particularly a promoter so supportive of women’s boxing, has been a long time coming for Green. The former Old Dominion University point guard has toiled mostly in anonymity since she made her pro boxing debut in January 2019.

Green has won eight straight bouts by knockout, a rarity in women’s boxing, on her way to securing this high-stakes fight versus Cederroos. In her most recent appearance, Green stopped Venezuela’s Ogleidis Suarez (30-5-1, 14 KOs) after the fifth round of a fight scheduled for eight rounds on the Paul-Anderson Silva undercard October 29 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
