Eddie Hearn and Jake Paul have been trading some friendly verbal fire in the last few days.

Hearn and Paul are promoting Saturday's showdown between undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor and once-beaten Amanda Serrano - which takes place at New York's Madison Square Garden. DAZN will stream the card.

Hearn (who promotes Taylor) and Paul (who manages Serrano) have already made a $1 million wager on the outcome of the upcoming fight.

Paul, a Youtube star turned boxer, has an undefeated record of 5-0 with 4 knockouts.

While Hearn gives him credit for being better than some of the boxers out there, he doubts Paul will ever reach

"world class" level.

"By the way, I've said I think Jake Paul's better than some fighters. But I don't believe you will ever come close to being a world-class fighter," Hearn told Paul.

However, the 25-year-old Paul fired back a challenge to Hearn.

"I believe that I will beat anybody on your roster that's under ten fights. Anyone. Any one of your fighters that's had under ten fights, easy. Any weight... no, any weight. Literally any weight," Paul said.

"I will beat anybody on your roster. Let's run it up, no problem. Give me your best real boxer."

Hearn offered up 1-0 Olympic cruiserweight prospect Cheavon Clarke as a potential opponent.

"Chev Clarke, 1-0 right, boxed in the Olympics, didn't medal, 1-0 just had one professional fight. He's a cruiserweight, you can have him," Hearn said.

Paul seemed to accept the proposal, but also countered with his desire to face Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez, who currently has a three-fight deal with Hearn

"Just give me a couple of years bro, then I'm coming for your boy Canelo," Paul said.

"I'm going to become a world champion. Couple fights, seven, eight more fights left."

Hearn shakes his head, throwing water at Paul's goal of one day becoming a world champion.

"Everyone's entitled to have a dream. No seriously, I'm being serious. I think there's absolutely no way he can beat a world champion and become world champion. But I will say he's improving a lot, he's dedicated to the sport," Hearn said.
