Jaime Munguia didn’t have to worry about coming in weak or light-headed for the weigh-in ahead of his next fight.

The former WBO junior middleweight titlist and current middleweight contender is set for his latest DAZN headliner, which comes versus England’s Jimmy ‘Kilrain’ Kelly. The scheduled 12-round bout—which takes place at a contracted limit of 165 pounds—airs live Saturday evening at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Tijuana’s Munguia (39-0, 31KOs) tipped the scales at a career heaviest 165 pounds for the one-off fight above the middleweight limit. Manchester’s Kelly (26-2, 10KOs) weighed 164 pounds for his second straight appearance in the U.S. and third overall outside of the U.K.

Munguia settled for this fight after watching negotiations fall through for a shot at WBC middleweight titlist Jermall Charlo (32-0, 22KOs). The two sides agreed to the money, weight, date and location, only for the fight to fall apart over a network dispute. Showtime was to air the fight, but Golden Boy Promotions and Zanfer Boxing—Munguia’s co-promoters—insisted that DAZN had to be involved in the event, proving to be a dealbreaker on their side.

Talks then shifted to a potential catchweight bout with former IBF middleweight titlist Daniel Jacobs, only for the two sides to remain far apart on financial terms. Munguia eventually settled on above-the-limit bout with Kelly, who enters on the heels of an upset win over previously unbeaten Kanat Islam—once upon a time in the Munguia sweepstakes—atop a Probox TV show this past February in Plant City, Florida.

The show also features the Golden Boy debut of IBF strawweight titlist Yokasta Valle (24-2, 9KOs), who defends versus Los Angeles’ Lorraine Villalobos (5-3, 2 KOs). Valle, a long reigning titlist from San Jose, Costa Rica, weighed 104.6 pounds for the fifth defense of the belt she’s held since 2019. Villalobos weighed 104.8 pounds for her first career title fight.

Below are the weights for the rest of the DAZN undercard, which begins at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.

Oscar Duarte (22-1-1, 17KOs), 136.4 pounds, Chihuahua, Mexico vs. Mark Bernaldez (23-5, 17KOs), General Santos City, Philippines, 135 ½ pounds—10 rds, junior lightweight

Evan Anthony Sanchez (11-0, 6KOs), Parlier, California, 152.4 pounds vs. Carlos Ortiz Cervantes (12-5, 12KOs), Torreon, Mexico, 151 pounds—8 rds, junior middleweight
