Jack McGann will return to the ring before the end of the year.

The former MMA man has been out since June.

McGann is undefeated in four since making the move from the cage to the ring back in June last year.

And after outpointing Kevin McCauley at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, as part of the supporting cast to Josh Warrington’s IBF featherweight world title defence against mandatory challenger Kid Galahad, the 26-year-old (3-0-1, 1 KO) has been given a comeback date.

‘The Pilgrim’ will box on November 2 at the King George’s Hall in Blackburn on a card promoted by Frank Duffin in association with Maree Boxing and Heatseeker Boxing.

His opponent has yet to be confirmed but it is understood that McGann will face something of a significant step-up on a card that is headlined by Artif Ali’s clash with undefeated Zeeshan Khan for the vacant Central Area super-featherweight title and will feature the returns of Josh Holmes, Liam O’Reilly and Dan Catlin among others.

IN OTHER NEWS:  BRITISH HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Daniel Dubois spent his afternoon at the Dale Youth Boxing Club in Ladbroke Grove.

Joined by heavyweight legend and former WBC World Heavyweight Champion Frank Bruno, Dubois put on a show for local school children at a special workout ahead of his Commonwealth Championship fight next week.

Dubois donated some tickets to the children present and offered advice to the youngsters who watched on as he performed a pad routine with mentor Bruno.

As the children chanted his name and cheered on the undefeated former Dale Youth Club member, Dubois gave some encouragement to them:

"It starts in the boxing gym. My advice is to stay in the gym, have a dream, stay focused and give it 100%."

After taking the 22-year-old Dubois on the pads, British boxing legend Frank Bruno reaffirmed to the media in attendance that he believes Daniel Dubois will go on to become a heavyweight world champion.

"Daniel is a very, very good prospect. I believe he can go to the very top of the sport", said Bruno.
