Former WBA interim super welterweight champ Jack Culcay (22-2) makes his American debut on October 21 in Newark, NJ, on the undercard to the World Boxing Super Series Quarterfinal between IBF champ Murat Gassiev and Krzystof Wlodarczyk. Opponent have yet to be confirmed.

Culcay lost to Demetrius Andrade in March in a fight for the WBA super title.

Former WBA cruiser champ 46-year old Firat Arslan will now face Argentinean Alejandro Emilio Valori (24-12) October 7 in Stuttgart and not Mauricio Barragan as previously announced. Arslan wants another fight against Marco Huck - the two fought twice and most had Arslan winning their first fight back in 2012 but Huck stopped Arslan in the rematch 2014. Huck was last seen in the WBSS quarterfinal getting stopped by Oleksander Usyk.

Supe rmiddleweights Adasat "El Toro" Rodriguez, 16-6-2, and Valerio Ranaldo, 13-1-1, clash for the vacant EBU-EU title in December in Rome with Round Zero promoting. Rodriguez have had some bad luck recently with one co-challenger after another pulling out but this fight appears to be on.

Erik Skoglund didn´t make any complaints about the decision in the WBSS quarterfinal against Callum Smith last weekend but after viewing the fight at home Skoglund now feels he was the victim of a hometown decision. -The fight was scored as if he was the champion and I was the challenger, add to that the hometown crowd that probably made the judges score the even rounds against me, says Skoglund to sn.se.

Trainer Johan Skoglund goes even further and feels Erik was robbed of the win. For the record: the fourth judge at ringside was Andreas Stenlund from Swedenand he  had it 114-113 for Smith. EBU champ Anthony Yigit was commentating the fight for Viasat and had it an astonishing 11-1 in rounds for Skoglund.

Veteran French middleweights Karim Achour, 24-4-3, and Michel Mothmora, 29-25, clash for the national title October 21 in Blois. It´s the fourth meeting between the two and Achour is ahead 3-0. Mothmora previously held the WBFed world title.

Spanish supermiddle Ronny Landaeta take on dangerous Croatian puncher Mirzet Bajrektarevic (18-4) October 21 in Malaga. Landaeta, 12-0, is reigning Spanish champ. Bajrektarevic knocked out previously undefeated Bruno Tavares in Switzerland in his last fight.

Anthony Yigit´s defence of the EBU super lightweight title against Sandor Martin September in Solna (Sweden) will be supported by up to six four round contests. The Simon Henriksson vs Mikkel Nielsen fight is off after Henriksson fell ill. Cruiserweight Robin Safar (3-0) will take on Slovakian Jozef Kolodziej (4-0) and superlightweight Redouane Kaya (4-0) returns to action after some time out and face Czech Jan Pasajev (2-0).
