Former world junior middleweight title challenger Jack Culcay and Howard Cospolite made weight for their clash Friday night at the Havelstudios in Berlin, Germany.

The 10-round bout will air live on Bild+ in Germany and throughout Latin America on ESPN Knockout (12 p.m. CT/ Mexico City).

At Thursday’s weigh-in, with a WBO regional title belt on the line, Culcay weighed in at 153.44 pounds. Cospolite weighed 153.88 pounds.

The Agon Sports card, along with the Mariusz Wach-Kevin Johnson fight in Konary, Poland that same night, will be the first time boxing will take place in Europe since early March due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged the continent. There will be no fans in attendance for Friday’s card in Berlin.

Culcay (27-4, 13 knockouts), who is originally from Ecuador and now resides in Berlin, last fought on November 23, defeating previously-unbeaten Jama Saidi by unanimous decision. He has won his last two fights since losing to Sergiy Derevyanchenko by unanimous decision on April 13 of last year in a world title elimination bout.

The 34-year-old’s most notable bout was a split-decision loss to Demetrius Andrade in March 2011. The WBA junior middleweight title was on the line.

Culcay is currently ranked No. 7 by the IBF.

Cospolite (18-7-3, 6 KOs), who resides in Saint-Ouen, France, defeated veteran Romain Peron by split-decision in his last bout on February 22. In his previous fight on July 18, the 37-year-old lost by unanimous decision to Dylan Charrat, which was a rematch of their split-decision draw from October 2018.

Unbeaten middleweight Bjoern Schicke of Berlin will square off against Marten Arsumanjan in a 12-round bout.

Schicke (16-0-1, 7 KOs) also fought on the November 23 card, defeating Spain’s Adasat Rodriguez by unanimous decision. The fight took place two months after fighting to a draw against fringe contender Ronny Mittag.

Arsumanjan (9-1-1, 4 KOs), who resides in Stein, Germany, has won his last three bouts since suffering his only loss as a pro at the hands of Tomas Bezvoda in May 2018.

Two fights pitting unbeaten middleweights will also take place on the card.

Vincenzo Gualtieri (14-0, 7 KOs) of Wuppertal, Germany will face hard-hitting Alexander Pavlov (10-0, 8 KOs) of Hamburg in a 10-round bout. Adam Amkhadov (7-0, 1 KO), who is originally from Russia and now resides in Berlin, will square off against Thomas Piccirillo (6-0-1, KOs) in an eight-round bout. Piccirillo was born in Italy and now resides in Cologne, Germany.

Fringe cruiserweight contender Artur Mann (16-1, 8 KOs), who was knocked out by South Africa’s Kevin Lerena on March 16 of last year, will face Rad Rashid (18-7, 14 KOs) in an eight-round bout.
