Berlin, Germany - Jack Culcay (28-4, 13 KOs) retained his WBO international belt against Howard Cospolite (18-8, 6 KOs) with a twelve round unanimous decision. The scores were 116-112, 117-111, 118-110.

Culcay was the busier fight, pushing the fight and going right after Cospolite with accurate shots to the head and body. At the end of the sixth, Culcay had Cospolite in some trouble after landing heavy punches to the head and then following up with hooks downstairs.

Cospolite was tough and had some moments when he put his punches together. When Culcay's workrate would drop, Cospolite would come on with punches of his own.

Culcay was last seen in action back in November, when he won a twelve round unanimous decision over undefeated Jama Saidi.

Culcay has now won three in a row since losing a twelve round decision in a tough IBF final eliminator against Sergiy Derevyanchenko in April of last year.

In a clash for the EBU European Union middleweight title, Marten Arsumanjan (10-1, 5 KOs) pulled off the upset when he stopped undefeated Bjoern Schicke (16-1-1, 7 KOs) in seven rounds of action.

Arsumanjan has now won four in a row since getting knocked out by Tomas Bezvoda in one round in May of 2018.

Vincenzo Gualtieri (15-0, 7 KOs) won a ten round majority decision over fellow unbeaten Alexander Pavlov (10-1) to capture the vacant BDB middleweight title. The scores were 96-94, 95-95,and 96-94.

The second fight of the evening between super welterweights Said Rahimi (11-4-0-1) and Haro Matevosyan (10-0-0-1) ended in a disappointing No Contest already in the first after heads clashed and both were cut. Rahim's cut was the worse, a big gash on the scalp and it had to be stopped.

The show opener of AGON Sports event in Berlin saw a minor upset as super welterweight Thomas Piccirillo (7-0-1) won a unanimous decision over house-fighter Adam Amkhadov (7-1) in a hard fought eight-rounder.

Piccirillo kept the pressure up while Amkhadov posed and held too much. Amkhadov had a point deducted in the seventh for holding and while he scored with good counters he allowed himself to be outworked and that cost him the fight.
