Golden Boy Promotions announced that Ivan Morales, younger brother of legendary champ Eric ("El Terrible") Morales, will not be part of the co-main event at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, Ca. Friday night.

Morales had what GBP called "visa issues" in Tijuana and his fight with Sergio Frias is off.

"It was a mess," said Eric Gomez of Golden Boy. "At the embassy, they told hm a few days ago to come back and get his visa because there was a big backup. They said the same thing the next day. Then, today (Thursday), they said they couldn't get it done because the printer broke.

"It's something we run into from time to time. We are going to reschedule Ivan as soon as we can."

Bantamweight Morales has a record of 26-0 with 14 stoppages.

Terrell Gausha, the U.S. Olympian fighting as a super middleweight, will now headline  the co-main event, against Ronnie Warrior Jr. of Tulsa. Warrior has a record of 15-8-1. Gausha is 10-0.

The main event remains a match between Frankie Gomez, the unbeaten junior welterweight from East Los Angeles, and Vernon Paris, who brings a record of 28-1. Gomez is 17-0 with 13 knockouts and weighed in Thursday at 140. Paris was a half-pound less.
