With an explosive knockout, Ivan "Niño Maravilla" Morales returned to the ring on the Saturday night, in the headline fight of a card staged by Boxlatino and PM Promotions promoters, which took place at the Ace Boxing Arena (formerly The Salty Dog) in Tijuana, Baja California.

Two rounds were enough for the brother of former world champions Erik "Terrible" Morales (super bantamweight, featherweight, super featherweight and super lightweight champion) and Diego "Pelucho" Morales (flyweight WBO), Ivan Morales, dispatched Joan Flores - in a contest scheduled for eight rounds in the bantamweight division.

Since the beginning of the match,  Morales imposed his conditions, connected with solid combinations to the body and head of his opponent, who ended up succumbing with the constant punishment until two minutes and 20 seconds of the second round, when Flores collapsed and went down from a powerful hook.

This triumph opens a wide range of possibilities for Ivan Morales, who in November could see action in the United States, under the promotion of Golden Boy Promotions.

Upon returning to the path of victory, "Niño Maravilla" Morales improved his professional record to 30 wins, 18 by knockout in exchange for two defeats.

In his last fight, Morales challenged IBF bantamweight world champion Lee Haskins back in May. Morales did well, but lost a twelve round unanimous decision to the seasoned and more experienced fighter at Ice Arena in Cardiff, Wales.
