Earlier today BoxingScene.com spoke to bantamweight contender Ivan Morales (29-1), who is in Cardiff, Wales for his championship fight that takes place on Saturday night. Morales will face Lee Haskins (32-3) for his IBF bantamweight title.

The 24-year-old Morales said he prepared very well for this fight and believes that a victory on the road would be even bigger than a victory on a neutral setting.

"I had a really good training camp. It was very hard which gives me the confidence that I am going to win the fight. I was never worried about coming here. They have treated me good. I know if I win here it will be an even bigger win," said Morales who is accompanied by Golden Boy matchmaker Robert Diaz.

Morales believes he can win the fight in a variety of ways and said that the most important thing is to win the fight convincingly.

"I think I can beat him by controlling the distance and outboxing him but I plan on pressuring him and dominating the fight so I leave no doubt," Morales explained.

As for what his brother, legendary Mexican fighter Erik Morales told him,  Ivan revealed that his brother said, "that he is confident that I will win and that I should enjoy the fight. That it is a big moment for me and to enjoy it and take control of it."

The younger Morales brother said that the fight holds special meaning to him because not only will a victory give him a world title but it will also help erase the sting of his upset loss to journeyman Edgar Jimenez last August.

"It would be a dream come true for me like all boxers to win a title. On a personal level it would also regain all of the confidence of my team and my promoters and all of the people around me that was lost when I lost my undefeated record," Morales told Boxingscene.com.
