Fringe lightweight contender Ismail Muwendo dropped Efrain Esquivias twice en route to a one-sided eight round decision late Friday night at the M3 Anaheim Event Center in Anaheim, California.

Muwendo improves to 19-0, with 12 knockouts. Esquivias, who has lost his last five bouts, falls to 17-7-1, with 10 KOs.

Muwendo dropped the former junior featherweight contender once in round four and once in round six. All three judges scored the bout 80-70 in favor of Muwendo, who is originally from Uganda and now resides in Minneapolis.

Esquivias tipped the scale at 142.2 pounds at Thursday's weigh-in, while Muwendo weighed 140.7 pounds.

Flyweight Seniesa Estrada also remained unbeaten Friday night, winning a one-sided decision over Aracely Palacios (8-7, with 1 KO).

All three judges scored scored the bout 60-54 in favor of Estrada (10-0, with 2 KOs), who resides in the Los Angeles area.

Junior featherweight Humberto Rubalcava won a six round majority decision over veteran Raymond Chacon (7-24-1).

The hard-hitting Rubalcava had to overcome the awkward style of Chacon to grind out a decision win. One judge scored the bout 57-57, while the other two judges scored the bout 58-56 for Rubalcava, who goes to 7-0, with 5 KOs.

Junior lightweight Jarret Jeter (7-1-1, with 2 KOs) knocked out Alberto Serna (3-7, with 2 KOs) at 1:31 of the opening round.
