A planned show by Prize Fight Boxing featuring a middleweight clash between Ishe Smith and Kassim Ouma has been postponed from its original March 29 date, Boxingscene has learned.

No new date has yet been selected, though the hope is to reschedule in April. The Landers Arena (formerly Desoto Civic Center) in Southaven, Miss. remains as the targeted site.

The show is designed to serve as the starting point of a new series. Prize Fight Boxing already hosts the long-running “Fight Night At The Fitz” at Fitzgerald Casino in Tunica, Mississippi and hopes for similar success in a different capacity.

“We’re moving forward with the show,” states Russ Young of Prize Fight. “The plan now is in April and that we can turn it into a long lasting series.”

Unbeaten 140 lb. prospect Karim “Hard Hitta” Mayfield was scheduled to appear on the March show. However, his intended opponent –Aris Ambriz – has recently accepted assignment as a late replacement to face Thomas Dulorme next Friday on Shobox.

Prize Fight is also working on details for its next Fight Night At the Fitz show, slated for mid-March. Their “Fight Night” casino series has sold out more than 90 consecutive shows, with that streak expected to continue through next month.
