Tonight at Harrah's Philadelphia & LIVE around the WORLD on GFL.tv, Ievgen Kyhtrov (1-0), 2011 World Amateur Championship's Gold Medalist, will step in the ring for the 2nd time in his pro career as a featured bout on a card promoted by Joey Eye Boxing & XFE.

Kyhtrov,m who is promoted by Fight Promotions Inc., has relocated to New York from the Ukraine and the US is where he plans to fight for the most part as a pro.  Recently Boxingscene.com had the opportunity to catch up with Khytrov very briefly as was finishing up preparations for his fight tonight LIVE around the WORLD on GFL.tv.  Here is what he had to say:

Boxingscene.com:  How was training camp for your Fight this Friday?

Khytrov: We worked very hard making the transition from amateur to professional style.  Sparred top guys like Curtis Stevens and Marcus Browne.  We are prepared 100%.

Boxingscene.com:  What do you know about your opponent is their any flaws you feel you can expose?

Khytrov:  We know he does some MMA and has a bit of an awkward style. We will box him and will take advantage

Boxingscene.com: What are your plans for 2014?  Are you going to try to move up the ranks quickly because of your extensive amateur experience?

Khytrov:  We have at least 8 fights scheduled this year if all goes well

Boxingscene,com:  How do you like fighting in the US?

Khytrov: Love it, the fans are great and the venues are beautiful. .

Boxingscene.com:  Will you be trying to consistently fight in the US or will you be going back and forth overseas?

Khytrov:  Will mostly fight in US. May take one or two fights back home in Ukraine. As of now I have permanently moved to Brooklyn New York.

Boxingscene.com: For those who are unfamiliar with you how would you describe yourself as a fighter?

Khytrov:  I like to fight or brawl. But currently working very hard on my defense and classic boxing.

Boxingscene.com: What can fans in attendance as well as those watching around the world LIVE on GFL.tv expect from you Friday night?

Khytrov: I am prepared to give a great fight and will not disappoint.
