While Hugo Centeno (26-1, 14 KOs) is a sizable underdog to Jermall Charlo (26-0, 20 KOs) later tonight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, his trainer Eric Brown believes his fighter will be just fine as he battles for the WBC interim middleweight title.

''Basically, he just can not get over-whelmed in the moment - which Im sure he wont and be himself," said Brown, who works with Centeno on a daily basis at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California.

"Do what he does, Hugo is a hell of a boxer, very talented fighter, very smart, crafty fighter and he's tough and I think he can put all that together and mess around and have a great night."

To offset the explosive power of Charlo, Centeno will have to employ his long left jab, to which Brown stated, "I'm sure that's a factor but also just his boxing ability. His ability to be able to move and work his angles and change position while he's working. That's going to be key."

While a strategic chess match would be more favorable for Centeno, Brown believes that at times his man will have to hold his ground.

"I'm sure at some point we're going to have to fight, as well,'' he opined. "So it's just not about seeing who can out-box who but it's going to come down to having to battle with this guy a little bit. So of course we're going to do what we do and let him figure out how to deal with it."

The World Boxing Council announced earlier this week that the winner of this contest will become the mandatory challenger to WBC, IBO, IBF, WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin, who is scheduled to return on May 5th against Vanes Martirosyan in a voluntary defense.
