Hosea Burton is targeting a rematch with Frank Buglioni.

The former British light-heavyweight champion, who lost his crown at the hands of the Enfield ‘Wise Guy’ last December, scored an opening round victory over Ratu Latianara at Manchester Arena.

Burton looked superb, exclusively live on Sky Sports, albeit against late replacement opposition as he took his man out in the opening three minutes.

And he is now targeting a return with Buglioni.

“There is only one fight I want - and that is Frank Buglioni,” Burton told Sky Sports in the aftermath.

Buglioni defends his British light-heavyweight title against gym-mate of Burton’s, Callum Johnson, on the Anthony Joshua-Kubrat Pulev bill on October 28, live on Sky Sports Box Office, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

Meanwhile, Scotty Cardle got back to winning ways after losing the British title last time out.

The former lightweight champion, who trains with Joe Gallagher in Bolton, was in with Lee Connelly over six rounds and outpointed the game fighter, who has boxed former world title challenger Luke Campbell earlier on in his career, by 59 points to 56.

Earlier in the card, Marcus Morrison got back to winning ways after two successive defeats, Jake Haigh won over four rounds and Joe Ham secured a 60-54 points win over Jose Aguilar.

Sam Hyde, who suffered a dislocated left knee in the fourth round, got a 58-55 points win in his first fight under Joe Gallagher, while Charlie Flynn won on points and Gavin McDonnell scored a first-round victory.

And Jake Haigh kicked off proceedings with a 40-36 points win over Anthony Fox.
