Much has been written about the 'Fight of The Century' - Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao - which took place on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

After five to six years of anticipation, it was going to be impossible to meet the expectations of the contest. Mayweather dominated the action to win a twelve round unanimous decision.

Naazim Richardson, best known as the head trainer of living legend Bernard Hopkins, reflected back on the highly successful pay-per-view event.

"Nothing surprised me at all, they’re both great fighters, they’re both not at their greatest at this time in their career. Pacquiao did himself a disservice by waiting so long for a fight like that. Mayweather fought more like Mayweather than Pacquaio did fighting like Pacquiao usually fights. It was easy to determine a winner," Naazim told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

Pacquiao claimed that he severely injured his shoulder in the fourth round. It was said that Pacquiao entered the fight with a right shoulder injury. Naazim is not 100% sure if that was a big factor in his performance.

"I can’t say one way or another. I thought Floyd dominated him and Pacquiao is not an easy fighter to dominate, so maybe there was an injury that was in effect. Floyd did his job," Naazim said.

Mayweather returns on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"Every Mayweather fight is a big fight because he’s so big. Now, are there any super fights to be able to be made? That’s what is interesting now. I don’t know if there’s a super fight there. Amir Khan has all of England backing him, so you can make that a super fight but Amir Khan can do that with Kell Brook," Naazim said.
