In response to an earlier published press release, BoxingScene.com received the below email from promotional company HITZ Boxing regarding the published announcement for a February 20 bout between Fres Oquendo and Lance Whitaker for the WBF heavyweight title.
On behalf of HITZ Boxing, NO fight deal has been made between team Oquendo or Whittaker at this time, however, HITZ boxing is in talks with team Whittaker and hope to come to terms in the near future, at such time a formal announcement will be made.
