Texas Station, Las Vegas - Blue chip welterweight prospect Jose Benavidez Jr (19-0) looked impressive in defeating Prince Doku (16-5) via unanimous decision. The scores were 60-54 on all three cards. Benavidez was sharp early on and nearly dropped Doku in the 2nd round. He dominated every round of the fight and had his opponent hurt on several occasions.

Welterweight prospect Michael Finney (12-1) came out fast landing several hard body shots early on but couldn't sustain it as he suffered an upset loss against Jaime Herrera (11-2). Herrera woke up in the 2nd round after suffering a low blow early in the round and dominated the fight from that point on until referee Jay Nady stopped the fight after an accumulation of blows with just a few seconds remaining in the 5th round.
