Henry Lebron out-thought and out-boxed an undefeated fighter Saturday night to produce perhaps the most impressive victory in his six years as a pro.

The Puerto Rican southpaw controlled the distance and was more accurate than William Foster III during their 10-round junior lightweight bout on the Efe Ajagba-Joe Goodall undercard at Tahoe Blue Event Center in Stateline, Nevada. Lebron landed numerous flush right hooks, withstood Foster’s rally during the middle rounds and won a majority decision to remain unbeaten (19-0, 10 KOs).

Judge David Sutherland scored nine rounds for Lebron, who won 99-91 on his card. Judge Eric Cheek credited Lebron for winning six rounds (96-94).

Judge Max De Luca scored their fight a draw, 95-95.

Foster, of New Haven, Connecticut, suffered his first defeat in eight years as a pro (16-1, 10 KOs, 1 NC). The 30-year-old Foster is the only opponent who has defeated Dominican southpaw Edwin De Los Santos (16-1, 14 KOs), who will face Shakur Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs) in a 12-round fight for the vacant WBC lightweight title November 16 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Foster seemingly needed a knockout entering the 10th round, but Lebron continued to out-box him during the final three minutes.

Lebron rocked Foster with a right hook that made Foster reset his feet a few seconds after the midway mark of the ninth round. Lebron landed two more crisp right hooks later in the ninth round.

Hoyle warned Lebron for hitting Foster low about 20 seconds into the ninth round.

Lebron’s thudding left to Foster’s body was the most impactful punch of the eighth round. It landed with just over 50 seconds left in the eighth round and enabled Lebron to take control of it.

Foster and Lebron landed hard shots simultaneously with just over 30 seconds remaining in the seventh round. Lebron’s right knocked Foster off balance in that exchange.

Foster started to build on his momentum early in the sixth round, including a flush left hook that knocked Lebron off balance a little less than a minute into it. Lebron affected Foster with a left to the body with about 1:20 to go in the sixth round.

Lebron caught Foster with a right uppercut later in the sixth round.

Foster landed a right to Lebron’s body, but Lebron immediately came back with left up top with about 40 seconds on the clock in the fifth round. A right hand by Foster also connected with just under 10 seconds to go in the fifth round.

Lebron’s jarring jab landed with under 40 seconds to go in the fourth round. Hoyle warned Lebron for holding Foster with seven seconds to go in the fourth round, when Foster finally had some success.

A straight left by Lebron kept Foster from coming forward with just under 1:15 to go in the third round. Lebron clipped Foster with a sweeping right hook a little less than a minute into the third round.

A cut opened beneath Lebron’s right eyebrow late in the second round.

Lebron clipped Foster with a counter right a little less than a minute into the second round. Another Lebron left temporarily stopped Foster in his tracks barely 20 seconds into the second round.

Lebron caught Foster with a counter left as Foster pressed forward with just under 40 seconds on the clock in the first round. A counter right hook by Lebron also landed with under 10 seconds to go in the first round.
