Robert Helenius (22-0) has relinquished the EBU heavyweight title to concentrate on a possible world title shot.

A purse bid hearing for Helenius vs Chisora II was set for tomorrow (Jan 21) but has since been canceled.

Mandatory challenger is Dereck Chisora (25-5) will now face the highest available contender for the now vacant title.

In the EBU ratings Wladimir Klitshko is # 1 and Alexander Povetkin is # 2 but neither is available.

However, at # 3 is Anthony Joshua (15-0) and he might be very interested in a showdown vs Chisora.

Should that no materialize, the number four-rated contender is Kubrat Pulev, who - like Chisora - is promoted by Team Sauerland.

As for Helenius, his next fight will come in April against a yet to be named opponent, though one in which his handlers insist will be a notable heavyweight.
