Promoter Eddie Hearn is looking to stage a rematch between super middleweight rivals James DeGale (20-1, 14KOs) and George Groves (21-2, 16KOs) in 2015. They faced off at the O2 Arena in May of 2011, with Groves winning a close twelve round majority decision. DeGale, an Olympic gold medal winner, was favored to win that fight.

All of a sudden things are heating up again. The two boxers traded words and nearly traded punches during last month's Matchroom card at the Echo Arena. DeGale is the IBF's mandatory challenger to champion Carl Froch, but Hearn is currently negotiating a Las Vegas fight between Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Hearn told Sportsmail: "I'm looking to make James DeGale against George Groves in the spring. That's the fight that makes sense for everyone and if we can maneuver that into the IBF or WBA title, why wouldn't [they]? It pays them four or five times the money. It's only the egos and the hate between them that will stop it happen. Maybe the winner can fight Froch if he comes through against Chavez."
